BIOGRAPHY
Dr LAU, Yiu-chung Adam is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, with an Intercalated Bachelor of Science degree in Orthopaedic Science from the University College London Medical School in United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. He was honoured with the Sir Harry Fang Gold Medal from the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgeons and awarded as a Distinguished Young Fellow in the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.
Dr Lau is a paediatric orthopaedic specialist with special interests in Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis, bone health, and related research. He was awarded the Best Paper in the Paediatric Orthopaedic Chapter at the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association Annual Congress and has been invited as an overseas ambassador for his award-winning research presentation. Additionally, he actively teaches medical students, postgraduate students, visiting fellows and orthopaedic trainees, and is committed to promoting awareness of bone and spine health among children and adolescents in Hong Kong.
