Today, it is our strong
belief that the use of intramedullary locked nails in the management
of long bone fractures has become a well-established physiology of
patient management. The principles and applications are universal
and far beyond the limit of any particular instrument or implant.
Based on this faith, Practice of Intramedullary Locked Nails is written
in the hope that this technique will evolve further for the betterment
of patients.
This book describes the use and relevance of the closed technique of
intramedullary locked nails in orthopaedic and trauma surgeries. The
Practice of Intramedullary Locked Nails comprises of two volumes: Vol.
1 covers the scientific principles and standard surgical techniques
of intramedullary locked nails; Vol. 2 covers the advanced surgical
techniques in extended indications.
